It’s January 1st again, and my 2014 was a winding tale in its own right.
(But that’s another story…)
I sat out, one year ago to the day, with the intention of getting at least one written work published, whether it was for pay or exposure. I was determined to get my first publication, so I wrote, re-wrote, sought feedback, polished and refined. I ended up with nearly twenty new stories, which ranged from novel-length to flash-fiction, thirteen of which I completed. Out of those thirteen, six found homes, and four took runner-up spots in themed contests.
Amazing and exhilarating, to say the least. So, along with all the readers, I’d like to give thanks to the outlets that have provided these opportunities:
Joshua Allen Mercier / The Bearded Scribe Press
“Twice Upon A Time” Anthology
James Ward Kirk Fiction
“The Grays” Anthology
Calamities Press Literary Magazine
Thanks for providing opportunities to new and upcoming authors!
WeBook – Monthly Flash-Fiction Contest
& Priceless Feedback for Writers
Thanks for dropping by!
